    Orange Bowl 11in. long x 8in. wide x 4in.tall. Weight: 5 pounds. Pattern: Marcella by Libbey.

  • Tuthill Bowl

    Bowl. 4in. tall x 9in. top diameter x 5in. bottom diameter. Weight: 4 pounds. Signed: Tuthill. This bowl is engraved in a peony floral design. Leaves are intricately detailed.

  • Fruit Bowl

    Fruit Bowl. 15in. long x 11in. wide x 4in. tall. Weight: 11 pounds. Pattern: Kensington. Cutter: Hawkes. A 24 point hobstar is cut in the bottom of this fruit bowl.

  • Low Bowl

    Low Bowl. 15in. diameter x 2in. tall. Weight: 8 pounds. Signed: Hawkes. This comet motif bowl is cut in ten 16 point hobstars on the outer edge of this blown-out (or crimped) bowl. Notched mitres that follow the blown-out sections are cut in the center.

  • Bowl

    Bowl. 4in. tall x 8in. diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Pattern: Ivernia by Libbey. The bowl is cut in four clusters of six small hobstars encircled by flashed fans. Four 20 point hobstars are cut around the top separating the clusters. Two bands of five small hobstars and bow-ties of cross-hatching are cut across the bottom and to the sides of the dusters of hobstars.

    Carafe: 8in. tall x 5in. bulbous diameter. Weight: 2 pounds. Pattern: Wales. Cutter: Straus. The neck is fluted with zipper cutting and a 16 point hobstar is cut on the bottom.

    Carafe: 9in. tall x 5 7/8in. diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Pattern: Aztec by Libbey. It has a 16 point hobstar cut on the base. Block diamond alternating with hobstars, rayed stars and step-cutting is cut around the carafe. The neck is cut in mitres with bullseyes around the top.

    Carafe: 9in. tall x 5 5/8in. bulbous diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Pattern: Marcella. Cutter: Libbey. A 16 point hobstar is cut on the bottom. A row of cane is cut around the top. Zipper cutting appears on the fluted neck.

    Two Handled Decanter. 9in. tall x 6in. bulbous diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Signed: Pitkin and Brooks. This double-lipped decanter is cut in blocks of double mitres with 8 point hobstars in the center. Flutes and elongated punties are cut on the neck with a rayed star cut on the bottom. A rayed star is cut on top of the stopper with punties around the sides.

    Decanter: 13in. tall (including stopper) Pattern: Heart. A 24 point hobstar is cut on the base. Hearts cut in hobnails surrounded by flashed fans are cut on the sides with two sizes of hobstars and cross-hatching cut under the elongated lip. Flutes and beading are cut on the corset-shaped neck and on the unusual shaped tear-drop stopper.

    Shipin.s Decanter: 8in. tall (including stopper) x 5in. diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Pattern: Vintage. Cutter: Sinclaire. The Vintage Pattern is cut around the decanter with a rayed star cut on the base. The handle is cut in punties. The sterling silver top is cut in the Vintage motif and is marked 3977.

  • Candlestick

    Candlestick. 10in. tall overall. Vase: 5in. tall. Candleholder: 9in. tall. Signed: Sinclaire. A floral motif is engraved on the vase and candleholder. The candleholder lifts out and was supposedly for the purpose of carrying the lighted candle from room-to-room. The same shape is pictured The Complete Cut and Engraved Glass of Corning by Sinclaire and Spillman. pg. 234.

  • Bishop's Hat Compote

    Bishopin.s Hat Compote. 15 1/8in. tall x 10in. top diameter x 6in. base diameter x 4in. bowl depth. Weight: 7 pounds. Signed: J. Hoare A 32 point hobstar is cut on the base. A long tear drop in the stem disappears into the geometric cutting. A chain of 12 point hobstars alternating with cross hatching is cut around the lower part of the bowl and step cutting under the rim which is cut in a chain of hobstars. An unusual feature to this piece are the two J. Hoare signatures.

  • Jelly Compote

    Jelly Compote. 6in. tall x 5in. top diameter x 4in. base diameter. Weight: 1 pound. Pattern: Pluto. Cutter: J. Hoare. A chain of alternating hobstars and cross hatching encircles the top of the bowl with prism cutting around the lower portion of the bowl.

  • Pedestal Coffee Pot

    Pedestal Coffee Pot: 15in. tall x 6in. diameter x 5in. base. Weight: 7 pounds. Propellor pattern. A 24 point hobstar is cut on the base. The matching stopper features a large tear-drop. Split vesicas of cross hatching separated by hobstars and cane form the pattern around the bottom with Harvard cutting on the neck.

  • Pedestal Cream and Sugar

    Pedestal Creamer and Sugar. Creamer: 5in. tall x 5in. lip to handle x 2in. bowl depth. Sugar: 5 7/8in. tall x 7in. handle to handle x 2in. bowl depth. Signed: Libbey (with sword). The creamer and sugar have a scalloped base with a hobstar in the bottom and a faceted knob stem with a tear drop. The bowls are cut in elongated vesicas with hobstars in the center and cross hatching on either end. The top of the pieces are cut in step cutting and reversed scallops. Triple notched cutting is on the handles. A 16 point hobstar is cut on the base of each piece.

  • Syrup Pitcher

    Syrup Pitcher. 7in. tall. Weight: 1 pounds. Pattern: Aberdeen. Cutter: Jewel Cut Glass Co. The Jewell Aberdeen pattern is a series of flutes and a band of hobstars and cross hatching. A hobstar is cut on the wafer base. The handle is cut in St. Louis diamond and the hollow stopper is fluted.

  • Ice Tub

    Ice Tub with Matching Underplate. Pattern: Fern by Ohio Cut Glass. Ice tub 5in. tall x 7in. top diameter. Underplate 9in. diameter. Total weight: 7 pounds. A 24 point hobstar encircled by a chain of small hobstars and cross hatching is cut on the scalloped underplate. A 24 point hobstar is cut on the bottom of the 2 handled ice tub. The sides are cut in a feather motif with a chain of five hobstars on either side of the handles.

  • Ice Tub

    Green-to-Clear Ice Tub: 5in. tall x 6in. top diameter x 4in. bottom diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Possibly Pairpoint or Mount Washington. This ice tub has six 16 point hobstars cut around the top with bowties of cross-hatching above and below. Six flutes are cut around the bottom. Vertical notched prisms separate the hobstars and flutes. A 16 point hobstar is cut on the bottom.

  • Champagne Cooler

    Champagne Cooler. 6in. diameter x 10in. tall. A graceful shape cut in bands of hobstars and lozenges of cross hatching.

  • Ice Tub

    Ice Tub: 5 1/8in. tall at tabs x 3in. deep x 6in. top diameter. Weight: 3 pounds. Pattern: Columbia Cutter: Libbey. The pattern extends across the bottom with a 16 point hobstar in the center and 20 point hobstars around the top.

  • Lamp

    Gone With The Wind Oil Lamp. 20in. tall to top of chimney, 8in. globe diameter, 11in. lower diameter. Weight: 18 pounds. Elongated lozenges of cane are cut at the points of four crescent shape bands of tiny hobstars. Fans are cut between the lozenges of cane. Twelve point hobstars are cut above the band of tiny hobstars. Punties are cut around the top and bottom. The globe is cut the same only with lozenges of cross cut diamonds under the band of hobstars.

    Electric Lamp|: 16in. tall x 7in. base diameter. Mushroom Dome is 4in. tall x 11in. diameter. Weight: 5 pounds. Pattern: Queens. Cutter: Hawkes. The pedestal of this two bulb lamp is cut in St. Louis diamond with the Queens pattern cut on the dome and the base. Pictured in "Cut and Engraved Glass of Corning" by Spillman/Farrar.

  • Pedestal Cheese Saver

    Pedestal Cheese Saver. 9in. tall x 10in. diameter (plate). Weight: 7 pounds. Cutter: Hawkes. Cheese saver is cut all over in hobnails. The top of the cover is cut in 3 rows of step-cutting with a lapidary knob. The base of the plate is also cut in hobnails with a lapidary knob above the base.

  • Powder Jar

    Powder Jar. 8in. diameter x 5in. tall (including knob). Weight: 3 pounds. A band of 18 point hobstars are cut on this powder jar. They are separated by fans and lozenges of cross hatching. The lid is cut in the same motif.

  • Loving Cup

    Loving Cup: 5 7/8in. tall x 4 5/8in. diameter. Weight: 2 pounds, 10 ounces. Pattern similar to Monarch by Hoare. Each side of this corset-shaped loving cup is cut in two 16 point hobstars with fans above and below and divided by a bow-tie of cross-hatching. A 24 point rayed star is cut on the 4 5/16in. diameter base.

  • Loving Cup

    Cranberry-to-Clear 2-Handled Loving Cup. 7in. tall x 9in. diameter (handle-to-handle). Signed: Hawkes. A 24-point hobstar is cut on the bottom of this loving cup. The sides are cut in two 16-point hobstars at the top and two 18-point hobstars at the bottom separated by cross-hatching, small hobstars, and fans. Cross-hatching, pyramidal diamonds, small hobstars, and zipper cutting are cut on the handles.

  • LovingCup

    Loving Cup: 6in. tall x 5 7/16in. top diameter x 4in. base diameter. Weight: 2 pounds, 4 ounces. Pattern: Studio by Bergen. The sides of this 2 handled loving cup feature a 16 point hobstar with triangles of cross-hatching at each corner with small hobstars above and below. The handles are triple thumbprints. This piece is pictured in a 1905-1906 Bergen catalog, page 40.

    Toupee Stand: 2in. tall x 7in. top diameter x 4in. base diameter. Weight: 1/2 pound. Pattern: Kohinoor Variation. Signed: Hawkes. The rim of the top is engraved in leaves and berries. The pattern is pictured in Rarities by Wiener and Lipkowitz, pg. 231.

  • Ink Well and Pen

    Ink well: 5in. tall x3 7/8in. base diameter. The ink well is pictured in Encyclopedia ofAmerican Glass. Ill by J. Pearson, pg. 75. It is pictured with a different top. The sterling silver top on this ink well is marked Dorflinger. Pen Staff: This 8in. long pen staff with letter opener on one end is cut in alternating tiny squares of nailhead diamond and cross-hatching.

  • Tankard

    Green-to-Clear Tankard. 12 5/8in. tall x 3in. base diameter. #50 Pattern by Dorflinger. This tankard is cut in vertical bands of 16 point hobstars, fans and rayed stars separated by rectangular shapes of cross-hatching. The sterling silver top is marked Dominick and Haff.

    Champagne Pitcher: 16in. top of lip x 4 3/ 8in. base diameter. Weight: 6 pounds. Pattern: Venetian. Cutter: Hawkes. The silver hallmark is in.Gorhamin.. The repousse silver is a sea motif of shells and six sea horses around the top of the silver. A sea serpent forms the handle at the top to a band around the lower section of the tankard. A serpent is on both sides at the top of the handle.

    Tankard: 11in. tall x 4 5/8in. base diameter. Weight: 5 pounds. Pattern: Senora. Cutter: Libbey.

  • Cranberry Handled Ewer

    Cranberry Handled Ewer: 13 1/2" tall. Weight: 3 pounds. Pattern: Chrysanthemum by Hawkes. This ewer is dark green cased in cranberry The repousse silver beak-shaped top is marked "Gorham Mfg. Co. Sterling". A 24 point hobstar is cut on the bottom.

    Champagne Pitcher: 11in. tall x 4in. base diameter x 31/8in. top diameter. Weight: 4 pounds. Pattern: Grecian. Cutter: Hawkes. The base is cut in a rayed star.

  • Punchbowl

    2-Piece Punch Bowl: 14in. tall x 15in. diameter x 9in. bowl depth. Total weight: 27 pounds. Kensington pattern, signed Hawkes. 24 point hobstars are cut around the top of the bowl with elongated triangles of cane and hobstars below. The same pattern is repeated on the base.

  • Punchbowl

    Punch Bowl. 7in." tall x 13" diameter. Weight: 13 pounds. Pattern: Snowflake by Anderson. There are three 20 point hobstars with small hobstars and cross hatching cut on the alternate points. The centers of the hobstars are cut in pyramidal points with rayed stars on the points. A narrow band of cane is cut across the top of the hobstars. Vesicas of hobstars and rayed stars separate the large hobstars. The bowl is wood polished.

  • Punchbowl

    Punch Bowl: 13in. tall x 14in. top diameter x 9in. base diameter. Weight: 21 pounds. Pattern: Jewel by Meriden. The punch bowl is cut in six interlocking circles of hobnails with 12 point hobstars in the center. The vesicas formed by the interlocking circles are cut in hob nail. 16 point hobstars are cut at the small scallops around the top. The pattern is repeated on the base.

    Punch Bowl. 14in. tall x 14in. diameter. Weight: 25 pounds. Pattern: Heart. Four hearts cut in Russian (with clear buttons) and flashed fans alternating with bowties of cane, hobstars and flashed fans are cut on the scalloped bowl and base

    Punch Bowl: 7in. tall x 14in. top diameter x 5/8in. thick. Weight: 13 pounds, 8 ounces. Signed: Hawkes Gravic Glass. The bowl with matching ladle has eight poppies and leaves engraved around the bowl. Eight vesicas are engraved across the bottom of the bowl which separate the stems of the poppies. The handle is engraved in the same motif.

    Dark Cranberry-to-Clear, Green-to-Clear and Cranberry-to-Clear Wines. Left: 2in. top diameter x 4 5/8in. tall. Pattern: Bakers Gothic by Clark. The base is cut in a 20 point hobstar. Center: 2in. top diameter x 4in. tall. This wine is cut in 8 point hobstars separated by fans around the top with triangles of cane under the fans and diamond shapes of cross-hatching around the bottom. A lapidary knob is on the stem and a 16 point hobstar is on the base. Right: 2in. top diameter x 4in. tall. Cutter: Dorflinger. This wine is cut in diamond shapes of cross-cut diamond and cross-hatching separated by fans at the top and a tiny rayed star at the bottom and on the base. This wine has a faded and worn Dorflinger label. A lapidary knob with a tear drop is cut in the stem.

    Gold-to-cranberry, Ruby Red-to-cranberry, and Gold-to-amethyst Wines. 4in. tall x 2in. top diameter x 2in. base diameter. Pattern: Venetian by Hawkes. Each wine has a knob with a tear drop in the stem. The base of the wines is cut in a pyramidal star.

  • Petticoat Wines

    Petticoat Wines: 7in. tall x 2in. lop diameter x 3in. bottom diameter. Weight: in. pound. Signed: (Star inside circle.) Three 16 point hobstars alternating with lozenges of nail head diamond and fans are cut on the bowl. A lapidary knob is cut above the zipper cuts on the flutes. A 24 point hobstar is cut on the scalloped base.

    Vase. 11in. tall x 5 in. top diameter x 5in. base diameter. 6in. diameter below neck. Weight: 6 pounds. Pattern: Queens. Cutter: Hawkes. A 24 point hobstar encircled by St. Louis diamonds is cut on the base of this unusual shaped vase.

  • Green Vase

    Green Vase. 16in. tall. Pattern: Lotus by Egginton. This pedestal vase with a clear base is cut in 18 point elongated hobstars around the top and bottom which are separated by cross-hatching and fans. Elongated flutes are cut around the middle.

  • Trumpet Vase

    Trumpet Vase. 50" tall x 11in. top diameter x 10in. base diameter. 5/8in. thick blank Weight: 20 pounds. Pattern: Wedgemere. Cutter: Libbey The flared bowl shape base screws into the metal collar at the base. The trumpet portion is cut into four panels of eight graduating hobstars.

  • Cranberry-to-clear Vase

    Cranberry-to-Clear Vase. 13in. tall x 8in. base diameter x 7in. top diameter. Weight: 7 pounds. Pattern: #129 by Dorflinger. Six circles of 24 point hobstars are cut around the bottom of this vase. Beading and cross-hatching separate the hobstars with 8 point hobstars between the top of the hobstars. Vertical panels of cane and beading are cut around the neck with fans at the top. The 2 inch top repousse band is marked Gorham 1899. A line drawing is on pg. 258 of the Dorflinger book by Feller.

  • Pedestal Vase

    Pedestal Vase. 18in. tall x 6in. top and base diameter. Weight: 11in. pounds. Pattern: possibly Normandy by Roden Brothers. A large hobstar is cut in the base with a lapidary knob. The neck is cut in step-cutting.

  • Basket

    Cranberry Basket. 11in. long x 7in. wide x 3in. bowl depth x 7in. tall at handle. Weight: 4 pounds. Pattern: Russian. The interior and exterior of this basket is cranberry with clear glass between the layers of cranberry. This helmet shaped basket is pictured in the J. Hoare catalog in clear.

  • Rose Bowl

    Rose Bowl: 8in. tall x 8in. diameter. Weight: 4 pounds, 10 ounces. Pattern: Triple Mitre Trellis Signed: Egginton. The top of the bowl is 5in. in diameter and the base is 4in. in diameter. There are ten rows of graduated hobstars cut around the bowl. The top and bottom row are the smallest. The size of the hobs graduates up in size to the larger hobs that are around the middle portion of the bowl.

    Green-to-Clear Rose Bowl 6in. tall x 8in. diameter. Attributable to Dorflinger. Weight: 5 pounds. A chain of ten 16 point hobstars is cut around the bottom and top of this rose bowl. A chain of ten diamond shapes cut in cross-hatching is cut around the center. A 20 point hobstar is cut on the bottom with fans cut around the scalloped top.
